Our Program

Empowering Lives Through Love, Purpose & Opportunity

At the Eisenhower "Ike" Center, love is more than a feeling—it’s a force for change. We believe that every person deserves the chance to contribute, grow, and live a fulfilling life. That’s why our program go beyond job training—we create pathways to independence, self-confidence, and meaningful employment, all rooted in love and support.

Through vocational training, life skills education, and real-world work experiences, we empower individuals with disabilities—including those with cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, and other developmental or physical challenges—with the tools they need to thrive. Because when love leads the way, possibilities are endless.

How to Get Started

There are two main ways to become a client at the IKE Center:

  • Referral: A social worker or case manager can connect you with us.

  • Direct Contact: You can reach out to us directly at 414-353-8480 or email Darrell Lewis at Darrell@ikecenter.com to discuss eligibility and program options.

Once you get in touch, our team will walk you through the next steps, answer your questions, and help you explore the programs that best fit your needs and goals.

    • We will provide a checklist and application to help guide you through the intake process. If needed, we can assist you with completing these forms.

    • We will also schedule a brief consultation with a case manager or social worker to discuss diagnosis, functioning level, supports and needs.

    • The client and their care team will tour the IKE center to see the program in action.

    • An intake assessment will be conducted to evaluate program fit and determine support needs.

    • The client will participate in a trial day to experience a typical program day.

    • During this time, our team conducts a skill assessment and behavioral observation to evaluate readiness and support requirements.

    • The client's care team and the Eisenhower intake team will meet to the determine if the program is the right fit.

    • Once approved, a start date will be set, and the client will be assigned a supervisor and designated work area.
